Start your engines, charge your boost, and leave your friends in the dust.

Street-Drifter is a fast-paced, retro-arcade multiplayer racing game built for intense competition. Gather your crew in the lobby, pick your ride, choose your track, and battle it out for the checkered flag. It's not just about hitting the apex—with Boost and Ammo mechanics, you'll need strategy, perfectly timed drifts, and a little bit of firepower to cross the finish line first.

🔽 How to Install & Play

For Mac (Important!): Apple's default security settings will likely block the game at first. Here is how to get on the track:

1. Download and extract the .zip file.
2. If you try to open the game and see a pop-up saying the app is "damaged" or "from an unidentified developer", don't panic! 3. The Quick Fix: Right-click (or Control-click) the Street-Drifter app and select "Open" from the drop-down menu. It will ask you to confirm—just click "Open" again.
3. The Settings Fix: If the right-click method doesn't work, open your Mac's System Settings > Privacy & Security. Scroll down to the security section and click "Open Anyway" next to the Street-Drifter alert.

When the game finally launches, a prompt will ask for network permissions. Allow network access to ensure the Host/Client matchmaking works properly.

• Multiplayer Lobbies: Fully functional Host/Client matchmaking. Create a room, wait for your friends to join, and seamlessly load into the race together.
• Arcade Physics & Drifting: Tight, responsive controls designed for high-speed cornering. Kick the back end out to slide through hairpins.
• Tactical Racing: Manage your Boost meter to blast past opponents on the straightaways, and keep an eye on your Ammo bar for when things get aggressive.
• Custom Selection: Cycle through a roster of unique low-poly vehicles in the pre-game lobby to find the car that fits your style.
• Retro Aesthetic: Clean, vibrant, low-poly cartoon visuals that keep the action clear and the frame rates high.

🎮 Controls

• W, A, S, D - Drive & Steer
• Spacebar - Drift
• Shift - Boost
• R - Flip Car (for when things go horribly wrong)

🛠️ Development Note

This game was developed in Unreal Engine 5. It is currently in [Alpha/Beta/Early Access], so expect some chaos on the tracks! If you encounter bugs or have feedback on the car handling, please drop a comment in the community board below.
